Introduction to Hands-On Asana Assistance

Have you ever been amazed by a precise adjustment that allowed you to fully experience an asana, sparking your curiosity to learn more?
Conversely, have you ever felt discomfort, or even been injured, by an inappropriate adjustment during your practice?
Or perhaps you are a yoga instructor looking to develop and refine your hands-on assisting skills?
If so, this intensive 3-hour workshop is for you.

An intelligent adjustment must be safe, effective, and enhance the quality of alignment as well as the overall experience of the posture. During this session, we will provide you with practical tools covering:

  • Reading bodies: We will develop this essential skill to observe and understand a student’s specific needs from the moment they step onto the mat.
  • Practising adjustments: We will learn the basic techniques of hands-on assistance and immediately put them into practice in a safe environment.
  • Analysing errors: By training our eyes, we will learn to spot common misalignments and errors that can lead to injury, allowing us to intervene accurately.
  • Managing injuries: We will learn to recognise individual physical challenges in order to offer alternative approaches and tailored adjustments.

The goal of this workshop is to help you understand yoga asanas, both for your personal practice, and your students’.


Price:

50€ regular price
40€ with a valid AYP card/pass


Cancellation policy

Payments of 30 euros or less are non-refundable.
An admin fee of 30 euros will be deducted for cancellations made more than 21 days before the workshop.
Only half of the sum paid will be returned 8 to 20 days before the workshop.
Sum paid is non-refundable 7 days before the workshop.
We don’t accept transferring of a paid reservation to another person after 2 weeks before the workshop.
We advise to those coming from out of Paris to purchase travel insurance as travel issues will not change this policy. Medical issues will also not change this policy.
As the teacher is confirming their presence and is guaranteed the amount of people who are attending 21 days before, we ask for your understanding of this policy.
