Delve into the traditional Ashtanga Yoga practice with Kino MacGregor. Integrating traditional yoga philosophy with a technical approach to asana practice offers a powerful key to the experience of true yoga within you. Each afternoon session merges essential philosophy and theory with the exploration of your body and asana.
All levels are welcome however, students must have an established Mysore-style practice to join the Mysore self-practice sessions.

Morning Practice, 10:00 – 12:00
FRIDAY, AUG. 21st Led Primary Series + Conference
Surrender to the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method with careful emphasis on the traditional vinyasa method and have fun along the journey. Experience the integrity and purity of the Ashtanga Yoga practice and be prepared to sweat. After practice, we will have a talk on yoga and we will wrap up with a conference and Q&A session!
Some prior Ashtanga Yoga experience required.
SATURDAY 22nd – TUESDAY 25th Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga
Immerse yourself in the indescribable experience of the Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style method. Under Kino’s guidance, you will learn how to practice and work each pose without forcefulnesses. Let Kino expand your understanding on asanas you find challenging and assist you in adjustments to improve the strength, flexibility and determination to practice every day. Through this experience you will learn something new each time you step on the mat.
Must have an established Mysore-style self-practice to join.

FRIDAY, AUG. 21st Hip to Be Square: Love, Accept and Open Your Hips
Accessing the deep release and openness that hip rotation requires is a unique combination of anatomical knowledge and inner peace. Join this class to learn the right information and, more importantly, the right frame of mind to hip opening from. Gain access to the deep muscles within the pelvis and learn to relax and release your hips. Be ready for a deep journey into the inner body complete with a detailed muscular and skeletal technique and the subtle body of emotions and energy. Learn how to create the safe space of patience, kindness and tolerance in the deepest regions of the pelvis and watch your hips open.

SATURDAY, AUG. 22nd Strength: Yes, You Can!
If you think you’ll never be able to lift up, or if you want to take your lifting up to a new level, this class is for you. This class integrates the elusive “bandha” and core work in a way that is accessible for everyone. By using natural and scientific principles, like gravity, weight distribution, and mind-body connection, you will gain a new understanding of the potential for natural strength in your body. You will leave this workshop with tools you can apply to reach a new level of strength, presence and awareness.

SUNDAY, AUG. 23rd Fly like a Bird: All About Bakasana
Take the time to master the core strength, stable shoulder girdle and steady mind needed to master Bakasana position. Translated into English as the Crane Posture, Bakasana unlocks the key principles of strength for all other arm balances. Start off with the easiest version of Bakasana and challenge yourself by trying some of the hardest versions of Bakasana like Eka Pada Bakasana A. Jump back and jump into Bakasana and learn how to transition in and out of handstand from the posture. Don’t let Bakasana trick you into thinking it’s too easy–come and learn how to be strong enough to truly fly like a bird.

MONDAY, AUG. 24th Intro to Second Series
Ashtanga Yoga’s Second Series, called Nadi Shodhana, works to cleanse the nervous system through a series of rigorous strength, backbending, twisting and hip opening postures. This class makes the challenging postures of the Intermediate series accessible and approachable to all interested practitioners. The inspired beginner will find easy, fun and approachable techniques to some of Ashtanga yoga’s most challenging postures, while the avid practitioner and seasoned veteran will find new techniques to inspire their practice to new levels of precision.
Prior experience with Ashtanga yoga recommended.
TUESDAY, AUG. 25th The Methodology of Teaching and the Magic of Hands-on Adjustments for Teachers and Students
Discover the paradigm of teaching Ashtanga Yoga through a careful analysis of lineage, tradition and effective communication. While verbal cueing and visual demonstration are wonderful, the physical body responds and learns through touch. Develop your kinesthetic intelligence to unlock the magic of hands-on assists and speak the honest language of the body. Maximize your effectiveness as a teacher and learn how to receive as a student.

An admin fee of 30 euros will be deducted for cancellations made more than 21 days before the workshop.
Only half of the sum paid will be returned 8 to 20 days before the workshop.
Sum paid is non-refundable 7 days before the workshop.
Refunds are processed based on the date we receive your RIB/IBAN, which determines the amount refunded per our policy.
We don’t accept transferring of a paid reservation to another person after 2 weeks before the workshop.
We advise to those coming from out of Paris to purchase travel insurance as travel issues will not change this policy. Medical issues will also not change this policy.
As the teacher is confirming their presence and is guaranteed the amount of people who are attending 21 days before, we ask for your understanding of this policy.
